Why We Started DashWerks: From Drafting to Dashes
If you’ve ever tried to restore or modify the interior of a classic or custom car, you already know the struggle. Cracked dash fascias, discontinued trims, warped plastics, or missing panels that no one seems to make anymore.
That’s exactly the problem we set out to solve.
DashWerks was born from a frustration we knew all too well — not just as manufacturers, but as enthusiasts. What started as JMB Draft & Design, a 3D design and printing business working across various industries, eventually evolved into something much more focused: a brand dedicated to bringing old-school interiors back to life, and giving custom builds the treatment they deserve.

The Problem We Saw
We kept seeing the same issue: people spending thousands on paint, engines, wheels, and suspension, but left with a cracked dash, faded trims, or no way to mount a digital display cleanly.
OEM parts? Discontinued.
Aftermarket replacements? Rare, overpriced, or poorly made.
3D prints off eBay? Usually rough and ill-fitting.
We knew there had to be a better way — so we made it our mission to fill that gap.
What Makes DashWerks Different
We don’t import knockoffs or slap together universal brackets. Every product we make starts with a scan, a CAD model, and a purpose.
-
We 3D scan the original part (even if it’s damaged)
-
We reverse engineer it, fixing flaws or adapting it for modern components
-
We print it in high-resolution resin with factory-like fit and finish
-
And we do it all right here in Newcastle, NSW, Australia
Whether it’s a factory-style dash or a custom fascia for your digital display, we care about the details, because we build parts we’d actually use in our own cars.
From One-Man Band to Dash-Focused Brand
DashWerks is still a small operation, but we’ve grown thanks to support from fellow car lovers across Australia and beyond. Our products are in street cars, track builds, restorations, and full-blown show cars.
We’ve worked on Toranas, Cortinas, Monaros, Chargers, and all kinds of weird and wonderful projects, and we’re just getting started.
The name "DashWerks" came from two ideas:
-
We make dashboards and interior components
-
We get things done fast — in a dash
It’s a nod to both our focus and our hustle.
What's Next
We’re constantly adding new products and scanning rare parts.
